What Are You Buying

1. Battery-powered Lawn Mower for Small to Midsize Lawns

While petrol lawn mowers are more powerful and can cover a larger area, cordless lawn mowers have their advantages, too. They are compact, lightweight, quieter and more environmentally friendly.

Battery-powered lawn mowers like the Husqvarna Aspire LC34-P4A are perfect for urban homeowners with small to medium size gardens that are 500 square meters or smaller.

The Aspire LC34-P4A runs on a removable 18V battery, which is included. The battery is part of the POWER FOR ALL ALLIANCE. It will work with any other compatible tools and equipment. The same goes for the included charger.

Husqvarna says the battery holds enough juice to mow an area up to 500 square meters, give or take 20sqm. A display on the lawn mower tells you how much battery life is remaining. When empty, the battery takes 95 minutes to recharge.

2. Lightweight & Compact – Easy to Operate

The Husqvarna Aspire LC34-P4A lawn mower is easy to push and manoeuvre around your yard thanks to its lightweight and compact design.

You’ll have an easy time mowing around the flower bed and pushing it up a steep lawn. Once you are done, the Aspire LC34-P4A folds into an even more compact size.

You can then easily lift and carry it using the front or rear handle. This makes it easy to take the lawn mower back to storage or move it to a different section of the yard.

3. Easy & Efficient Storage

When it comes time to put away the Aspire LC34-P4A lawn mower, you have three options.

The first step is to fold up the lawn more to make it more compact. You can then lean the lawn mower against the wall, hang it on the wall using the included hook or attach it to the Husqvarna Aspire™ Storage Rail system, which is sold separately.

Whichever storage option you choose, they all take up very little space in your shed or garage.

The foldable design of the Aspire LC34-P4A also comes in handy if you need to transport the lawn mower. The compact size easily fits in most cars.

4. Adjustable Handle and Cutting Height

The Husqvarna Aspire LC34-P4A has two main adjustable settings.

The first is the telescopic handle. Once you unfold the lawn mower, you can adjust the handle to the most comfortable height for you.

The second is the central cutting height adjustment that lets you cut your lawn to different heights. You adjust it using a gear-like lever on the lawn mower.

There are four cutting height levels with the lowest being 25mm and the highest 65mm.

5. Automatic Power Boost

When you are mowing, you’ll notice the Aspire LC34-P4A occasionally kicks up to a higher speed. This is an automatic power boost that is triggered automatically when you encounter tough grass.

When you are through the tough patch, power level automatically returns to normal to save on battery.

How Easy Is It To Use?

The Husqvarna Aspire LC34-P4A is one of the easiest lawn mowers to operate. We’ve already mentioned how small and light it is. If you have struggled to push larger lawn mowers before, this one is much easier to operate.

It manoeuvres easily around corners and obstacles, and thanks to the power boost, doesn’t struggle at all when it encounters a tough part of the lawn.

Folding and unfolding the lawn mower is easy and intuitive. One thing we love is how all the most important interaction points are highlighted in orange. These include the parts you turn to fold/unfold the lawn mower or adjust the handle. You don’t need to keep re-reading the manual to figure out how the lawn mower works.

The battery is also easy to remove and attach. Turning a plastic key in the battery compartment activates the battery. As a safety measure, you can remove the key to ensure no one else like kids can operate the lawn mower.

Being an electric lawn mower, the Aspire LC34-P4A runs much more quietly than a traditional petrol lawn mower. So you can work on your lawn in the morning or evening without disturbing your neighbours.

It has fewer vibrations too, which is safer for you.

What Accessories Are Included?

Here’s what the Husqvarna Aspire LC34-P4A comes with:

  • A detachable 18V battery and charger that work with other compatible POWER FOR ALL ALLIANCE tools.
  • A detachable grass collection bag.
  • BioClip® plug that lets you mulch grass instead of collecting it. This is handy if you want to return the cut grass to the lawn for a more fertile garden.
  • Hook for easy wall storage of the lawn mower.

Pros

  • Lightweight and compact, making it easy to transport and store.
  • Adjustable handle.
  • Convenient foldable design.
  • Quiet and eco-friendly.
  • Wide cutting width of 34cm.

Cons

  • Not ideal for large lawns (larger than 500 sqm).
  • Pricey compared to a petrol lawn mower.

Anything Else You Should Know?

If you already have tools that use the POWER FOR ALL ALLIANCE power system, there’s a cheaper version of the Husqvarna Aspire LC34-P4A that comes without the battery and charger.

Unless you want a spare battery and charger, you don’t need to buy the pricier version. If you want to buy a trimmer in the same range, check out this review.

Conclusion

The Husqvarna Aspire LC34-P4A is a great pick for most urban and suburban lawns. It is quiet, so you don’t bother your neighbours. It is compact, so it fits in a small shed or garage. And it’s powerful enough to quickly mow a small to medium size lawn.
