The Husqvarna Aspire T28-P4A is a great choice if you are looking for a lightweight and easy to use battery powered grass trimmer. It’s perfect for trimming along the edges of your lawn and near objects like flowers, trees or a wall.

1. Compact and Lightweight Grass Trimmer

The Aspire T28-P4A is a cordless grass trimmer, meaning there is no cord to limit your reach. It runs on an 18V lithium ion battery. Runtime depends on which particular battery you choose.

The smaller 2.5Ah B45 battery lasts about 25 minutes while the larger 4Ah B72 battery is good for up to 50 minutes. Go with the larger battery if you have a bigger lawn to ensure you can trim all of it in one go without having to recharge the battery midway through.

Tip: The B45 battery can still work with larger lawns thanks to its fast recharge time. It charges to 80% in just 40 minutes and 100% in one hour. So you can recharge it and get right back to work in no time. The B72 battery also charges pretty quickly — 100% in about one and a half hours.

The Aspire T28-P4A grass trimmer is part of the POWER FOR ALL ALLIANCE. This means the battery it comes with is compatible with other POWER FOR ALL tools and equipment. You can share a single battery among multiple tools.

3. Dual Trimmer Lines

How Easy Is It To Use?

The Husqvarna Aspire T28-P4A is easy to operate.

For one, it’s slim and lightweight. So it fits easily in your hands and you can easily manoeuvre it around on your lawn. The lightweight design is especially handy when you are trimming along the edges or in tight areas. It lets you hold the trimmer in different positions to get a precise trim.

For context, the Aspire T28-P4A weighs only 2.6kg without the battery. The smaller B45 battery only adds 0.36kg while the larger B72 battery adds only 0.66kg.

Another thing I love about the Aspire T28-P4A, and you will find this in many other Husqvarna tools, is the intuitive design that highlights all the interaction points. They are marked in orange so you can easily know which areas you can adjust.

This makes it easy to locate the start button, the lever that lets you adjust the shaft and the locations to press to adjust the handle. It’s often the small details that make a huge difference in ease of use.

The Aspire T28-P4A scores highly when it comes to ergonomics. It’s designed to be comfortable for a wide range of users thanks to the adjustable handle and shaft. It’s also worth mentioning that the handle has a soft grip that is comfortable to hold especially when trimming for an extended period.

In the future, you’ll also need to buy line refills when the current line runs out. I recommend this pack of three that should last for quite some time.

Anything Else You Should Know?

If you already have a compatible POWER FOR ALL or Aspire battery at home, there’s an option to order just the T28-P4A trimmer without the battery and charger. It will save you money. Just make sure the battery you have will work with this trimmer before you order.

Something else to mention is that you should soak the trimmer line in water for a couple of days before using the trimmer. The manual mentions this but it’s easy to miss it. This improves the lifespan of the line by reducing breakage.
