What Are You Buying?

1. Garden Hose Tap Connector

The Tesmotor garden hose tap connector makes it easy to connect your hose to a tap without leaks. You attach the connector to a threaded faucet or tap.

This is a 2-in-1 connector, meaning it is compatible with two tap sizes. It can fit taps or faucets with a ½ inch or ¾ inch outer diameter.

2. Hose End Quick Connector

The hose end quick connector allows you to quickly connect a hose to the tap connector. The hose end connector comes with a built-in clamp that ensures the connector attaches tightly to the hose and prevents leaks.

One end of the connector attaches to a standard garden hose with a 16mm outer diameter. The other end attaches to a ½ inch tap connector. So you can connect it directly to the tap connector that’s included in this package.

The hose end connector is also compatible with most nozzles, sprayers, watering wands and other tools.

Note: You’ll need both the hose end connector and the tap connector if you are connecting a garden hose to a tap. The hose end connector plugs into the tap connector. So if you need to connect your garden hose to an appliance or tool such as a sprayer nozzle, you’ll need to get a separate hose end connector. Tesmotor sells a 2-pack of just the hose end connectors.

3. Durable Brass Connectors

If you’ve ever used plastic hose or tap connectors, you know how frustrating they can be. They are more prone to leaks, they break easily and you constantly have to replace them.

The Tesmotor brass connectors are much stronger and durable. And because they are rustproof, you can use them outdoors without worrying about corrosion.

How Easy Are They to Install and Use?

You don’t need any tools to install or use the Tesmotor connectors. The tap connector simply threads onto the tap. Note that you cannot use the tap connector if your tap or faucet is not threaded. Threadless taps need a different kind of connector.

Remember the tap connector has two sizes: ¾ and ½ inch. If you have a ¾ tap, unscrew the top ½ inch part of the connector to access the ¾ inch threading.

As for the hose end connector, it’s also easy to attach to a garden hose. You can then connect it to the tap connector by pulling down on the collar. The pull-down collar makes it easy to quickly connect and disconnect the hose from the tap.

What Accessories Are Included?

This pack includes just the two connectors. No other accessories are included, nor do you need any to install the connectors. But just in case your tap leaks, it’s always a good idea to have some teflon tape handy. But the connectors have rubber gaskets, so you’ll probably not need teflon tape.

Pros

  • Durable brass connectors.
  • Easy and quick to install — no tools necessary.
  • No leaks.
  • Versatile 2-in-1 tap connector.

Cons

  • Hose end connector doesn’t have a valve (more on this below).

Anything Else You Should Know?

The lack of a valve in the hose end connector is inconvenient if you are using the connector to attach the hose to a sprayer nozzle or some other tool.

The connector doesn’t stop water from flowing out when you disconnect the nozzle or whatever tool you’ve attached. You have to go back to the tap to turn water on or off.

A hose end connector with a valve is more convenient for use with nozzles and other tools. But if you only plan to use the connector to attach the garden hose to a tap, then the lack of a valve is not a problem.

Conclusion

Forget those cheap plastic connectors. They hold up poorly to repeated use and don’t last long outdoors. This pair of Tesmotor brass connectors offers much better value for money. They are easy to set up and use, they don’t leak and they last for years.
